Turnitin Draft Coach

Turnitin Draft Coach is a Google Docs add-on that allows similarity checking, citation checking, and grammar checking on Google Docs documents.

It is a feature that is available on the Turnitin Feedback Studio subscription. With the UP's current subscription to Turnitin, those with an active @up.edu.ph mail account will be able to access and use the add-on on Google Docs.

Accessing Turnitin Draft Coach

Important: You must be logged in to your UP mail account on the browser you will be using to access Google Docs.

  1. Open Google Docs.

  2. If you will be working on a new document, create a new Google Docs document. Otherwise, open your existing document.

If you are opening an existing document and it is not a Google Docs document, save it first as Google Docs (click "File" in the menu bar, then click "Save as Google Docs"). A new Google Docs document will open containing the content of your original document.

  1. On the opened Google Docs document, the "Add-ons" item in the menu bar should appear. Click the "Add-ons" menu, hover the mouse over the "Turnitin Draft Coach™" item, and then click "Turnitin Draft Coach" on the panel that will appear on the right side. This will open the Turnitin Draft Coach panel on the right side of the document.
