Learning Resource Center
Learning Resource Centers (LRCs) were established to supplement, complement, and coordinate existing learning assistance programs in each campus to ensure that the goal of promoting academic excellence will be realized in a more caring and nurturing environment. The LRCs were established to help students cope with the academic requirements of UP.
The Learning Resource Center of UP Mindanao is one of the LRCs institutionalized for this purpose. It is one of the units under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
The following are the functions of the LRC:
To conduct the Summer Bridge Program for incoming first year students;
To coordinate with other units for the conduct and preparation of tutorials, as well as learning assistance modules; and
To conduct studies needed to formulate policies or strategies for providing learning assistance to students with poor academic standing.
