Accessing OpenAthens

Step 1. Go to the sign-in page of OpenAthens: https://my.openathens.net/

Step 2. On the sign-in page, type the university name (University of the Philippines Mindanao) in the Find your institution search box. After typing the university name in the search box, a link (with the university logo and name) will appear as a result of the search. Choose/click this link to log in to OpenAthens. If two or more links will appear, choose/click the one for UP Mindanao.

If you have previously logged in to OpenAthens via webmail, chances are the institution login info will be saved. So, when you go to https://my.openathens.net/, you can simply choose the institution listed in the Choose your institution section to log in to OpenAthens. If not saved, you can proceed with the Find your institution option, type the university name in the search box, and choose/click the resulting link of the institution.

Note: If previously logged in to OpenAthens via webmail, the Choose your institution section will appear instead of Find your institution, but the Find your institution option is still there in case you want to log in to a different institution.

There may be cases wherein after following Step 2 you will be redirected to another page. If this happens, please proceed to Step 3.

Step 3. In case you will not be logged in after Step 2 and instead, you will be redirected to a page containing what is shown in the image, simply choose the UP Webmail option to log in to OpenAthens.

After following the steps, up to either Step 2 or Step 3 (if not yet logged in after Step 2), you will be logged in to the OpenAthens (interface shown in the image).
